An NPC, or non-player character, is any character other than those that are controlled by the player, for example townsfolk, wildlife, or non-hostile creatures. Dialogue can be attached to an NPC (either from their Entity Properties panel in the Map Editor or the Set Dialogue scripting function) to allow a conversation to be initiated by the player.
An NPC's movement behavior (for example, whether they will walk around freely or stay confined to a specific area) can be configured from the ““Behavior Settings” section of the Entity Properties panel. See NPC Behavior for more information.
