The Main Menu Editor allows you to customize some of the visual aspects of your game's Main Menu and can be accessed from the UI Editor tab located at the top of the application. Currently, you can choose what to display in the background of the menu, which music to play, and the text color to use when the player hovers over the menu buttons.
The settings for your Main Menu can be modified from the UI Properties panel on the left. Refer to the table below for an explanation of each setting.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Background Type | Determines what will be shown in the background of your game's Main Menu. Supported types include a solid color, map, or image. |
Background Color | Color to fill the background with if “color” is selected for the background type. |
Background Map | Map to display in the background if “map” is selected for the background type. |
Camera Position | Camera position to use if “map” is selected for the background type. |
Background Image | Image to display in the background if “image” is selected for the background type. |
Image Stretch Mode | Determines how the image will be stretched/tiled if “image” is selected for the background type. See Image Stretch Modes for explanations of each mode. |
Hover Color | Font color that will be used when the player hovers the mouse cursor over a menu button. |
Music | Music to play while the Main Menu is active. |
