  • Community Showcase Submissions (October 2024)

Submissions are now open for the October community game showcase, my dear friends! At the end of the month, I will select screenshots from the submissions and combine them into a video to show what the community is creating with RPG in a Box! Read below for information on how to have your game(s) considered.

Instructions:

  • Reply to this thread and attach the image(s) to your post using the "Upload" button on the bottom toolbar.
  • Images must have a 16:9 aspect ratio and should preferably be 1920x1080 in size, with a minimum of 1280x720. The easiest way to take a screenshot is to press F12 while in your game. The screenshot will be saved in your system's "Pictures" folder under a subfolder for the game, e.g. "C:\Users\Justin\Pictures\My Game".
  • For each project, include the title of the game and the name you'd like to be credited as.
  • Games can be at any stage (anything from ones released in the past to ones being actively worked on).
  • You can submit multiple images per game or for more than one game. The images should ideally be ones that have not been included in previous showcases. Also, please note that there's no guarantee every image submitted will make it into the showcase, but there's always next month!
  • Submissions are due by October 31st at 23:59 EST, at which point the thread will be locked. I plan to share the showcase video on the following Saturday, so this will provide a full day to put everything together.

In case you missed it, you can view last month's showcase video here:

Your submissions are much appreciated. Let's show the world the wonderful games you're making! 💖

Hi, here are some screenshots from Yasonia showcasing different armor sets. You can also mix and match different pieces from each set to further customize your character's appearance and build. Also, Yasonia has a full Transmog system allowing you to equip skins for each armor piece.

You can check my Rpg in a box forum page for more information!

Hello all, DrDonuts here.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time learning RIAB since getting started on October 5th, and this is my very first game engine. The community Discord has been an incredible resource and a place to speak to talented helpful folks.
While both still fairly early, with hopefully much more to come, I thought I'd show the two projects I've been working on.

My first "clone" game that I wanted as proof of learning and accomplishment, and one picture from my RPG in a Box FALL 2024 Game Jam submission. I think I'll end up submitting at the very end of the window to give myself the most time, but having a month to work on things should hopefully make the end result even better.

First, here is "Alphabet Alienz". My goal here with this game and the games that come after are to recreate the experiences of my Dad's favorite arcade games.

This is my first, and I have been happily surprised with what I've been able to accomplish. I am already thinking of ways to expand upon it, with the last couple pictures as a sneak peak of what I'm thinking of.

Next is my jam submission, which for now is called "Danie's Quest"

This small map represents some of the mechanics testing I was trying out, and things were quite promising.

Thank you, Justin, for creating something that has allowed me to unlock my creativity. I've always considered myself not artistic, not creative, all while basking in art and movies and games for my whole life. Excited to see what the future holds.

havnt posted any pics of my game since the pre 1.0 days so here some screenis of my game (barron) The kingdom of Alon : The new age
