  • Well sadly I have made the decision to put this project on hold for 6 months, I can't progress much further until my bugs get addressed. I will come back to this in the future though when there is some meaningful bug fixes. Cheers 🙂

  • Updated my UI a bit since posting thought I would update this post and update the game . Also adding some new screen shots.

  • Hi I'm Jeff, I am from central Canada and have been using RPGIAB for a few years now. I felt compelled to post here as I am a former long time user of RPGMAKER and got sick of that engine releasing new versions and only adding token updates and charging a ridiculous amount of cash for it. I switched to this engine and have not turned back. I love the ability to make your own content and the dedication of Justin to his craft and the engine are commendable. I have enjoyed watching the program grow over the last few years and believe it will be a amazing tool for making games well into the future.

  • Does the issue occur in the editor or during gameplay?
    Gameplay

If it's a gameplay issue, please specify which movement system and camera type you're using (free movement vs. grid movement, third-person vs. first-person) or N/A if not applicable:
    Grid, Third-Person

Briefly describe the issue you're experiencing:

if you reset a TTB map before battle with a party member in party, loading same TTB map allows player movement but crashes game if you try to move party member.

Are there any errors in the in-game debug console or external console window?

This error occurs after crash in console.

Provide the steps necessary to reproduce the issue:

Create a barebones project, add a party member and start a TTB resetting map before battle. Lose and restart same battle and try moving party member game should crash.

Provide a download link to the bare bones project (strongly recommended if it's an in-game issue, since this helps significantly when attempting to reproduce it; the report will also be given more priority in this case):

Click on box in overworld to add party member. Just make contact with other character on overworld to initiate battle.

Update to this issue, i did some more testing and noticed if you assign enemies and party to groups in combat editor on battlemap the issue still occurs but instead of crashing, the game goes into a loop and disables movement for party member. Here is the error and a updated barebones with group assignment.

LuckyBoyAK I think Slayer has a video on shops , if im not mistaken there is a script in the assets or script section on discord or here that has a basic shop script.

      • A simple rpg based around the shipwrecked captain of the Black Raven, a unlikely hero who must start all over after recovering in the port town of Valon and who must bring order back to the lands of Ferellion. I thought I should add this project here seeing as I have it on discord and update its progress.

      • Thank you for the info. I tried this, but did not think to use the $projectile in the remove_entity function. learn something everyday 🙂 sorry for posting as a bug report.

        • A way to filter redundant global properties in the game configuration. I loved this feature in QB64.
