So far, in my RIAB tests, I realized that puttings several same instance of an object which is a Sprite (example: grass blades)
drastically reduces the framerate. I suppose every linked sprite is count as 1 entity / drawcall.
As we will be able to directly place Sprites in the 2.0, will those sprite be instanced? Or could we have the possibility to choose, like "this sprite is an object, interactible, with properties, etc. and those ones are only environment decors that can be batched".
That would allow us to create tiles with very dense vegetations or details, like that:
