I decided to create my first voxel character based on myself irl. It is basic and I haven't animated it yet, but I wanted to get some initial feedback before I spend more time on it.
How are my proportions?
Should I make my models on a larger grid for more detail? (currently 16x16x24)
Are there any noticeable performance issues with large grid models? (as the whole game will have to be scaled)
Any tips on adding more depth to the character without making it look weird?
I like the Marching Cubes mesh for the characters as it adds a bit more realism. But do you think my entire game will have to be that way if I use it?
