Does the issue occur in the editor or during gameplay?
in the scripting editor and gameplay
If it's a gameplay issue, please specify which movement system and camera type you're using (free movement vs. grid movement, third-person vs. first-person) or N/A if not applicable:
n/a gameplay but script / node issue
Briefly describe the issue you're experiencing:
so the load game node or the way load game node is working isn't working correctly when speaking to slayer about it the following isn't happening/not working correctly for me
A. it loads (from the point of save game) all global that are set as far as my knowledge (thought it might need checking or confirming by you Justin what the load game "loads" in terms of that eg dose it read all global and applies them? or etc don't know i need info on this
B. for my game i have a preload script that has my "colour system" that checks for the global values and while the map is loading it then applies the set texture for that value for e.g 1 = texture 1 2 = texture 2 etc when loading a game it don't do this (maybe because its different or works different then the load map node/code bit
C. its not loading my player/character at the point the game was saved at (gives me a error of could not find position using x position instead)
D. the issue for me also i know its reading some globals values because after loading the game and i leave the map i saved from it then runs the preload map script and applieds the colours/textures if i then re enter the map i saved from then the colours are applied
(i really need this fixed because for my game if the play as got 5 of the colours and there in the slots the world should have the textures applied after loading(preferably the same way the maps run the preload scripts when the "load map" node is used)
Are there any errors in the in-game debug console or external console window?
No
Provide the steps necessary to reproduce the issue:
1.make a global.property that's has a numbered value
2.make a script with a evaluate contishen and do the following for numbers 1 to 7 make one model have 7 textures (or less for testing and set the each extra to change on a numbered value eg 1 = texture 1 2 = texture 2 and so on)
3.set that to the pre-load on the map
4.make something that changes the value or manually set the value in ur game config
5.save your game after changing the texture from the default to a different texture
(in my case Gameboy greens is default to texture one witch is anything that has blue on it)
- load your game (the thing u make should still have its default texture and not the texture that should be applied
with the pre-load script from the map
