In the Asset Library, you can choose between quite a lot of different music choices. But what if I wanted to make my own music for my game, or if none of the music choices fit a particular part in my game?
This is mainly why I want there to be a Music Creator in RPG in a Box.
Specific features I would like to see in a Music Creator:
- Import Sound Effect
Self-Explanatory. This could take a Sound FX and import it into the music you are creating.
- Import Music
((Not entirely confident in this one since people might use it for importing music that they aren't allowed to use or something))
This could let you import a music file into the Music Creator, and the creator will 'read' the music and copy it into the creator. (To remix it or edit it)
And that's it. I mainly wrote this just because I want more options for music.
(For example, for final boss themes the only two I find really usable in the Asset Library are "Breaking the Matrix" and "Dark and Determined". But they don't really give the final boss vibes I want in my game. They're a bit too edgy, but there aren't many other songs I'm considering to use for a final boss theme.)
Also some other songs that I feel could play during fights or areas sometimes feel ruined by the 'calm' parts in it. There are a couple songs I'm considering to use for my game but they have calm parts in them that don't really fit the feeling I'm aiming for in an area or fight (Examples include "Fight 1" (Ironically), "Depleted Core", and "Desolation" (this one upsets me because I like the song quite a lot but the calm part comes out of nowhere and sort of just kills the intensity in my opinion). I want to make or at least use songs that don't try to lull me to sleep in the middle of them.
("Breaking the Matrix" and "Dark and Determined" by Aleix Ramon)
("Fight 1", "Depleted Core" and "Desolation" by Josh Penn-Peirson)
P.S. Any complaints in this are just my opinions.
