I've begun to realize just how much potential is still left in RPG in a Box 1, even with the 10+ years of work put into it, and I don't want it to just disappear once "RPG in a Box 2" arrives.
"RPG in a Box 2" is still coming, but more and more it's evolving into its own thing in my mind.
I now see "RPG in a Box 2" as a new incarnation that's even more fun and game-like. Far more than a port to Godot 4, a reskin, or rewrite of the same experience.
As already seen in "The Workshop", and hinted at in the teaser graphic of major 1.x releases, there's much more coming for RPG in a Box 1.
Not only are these major 1.x releases bringing huge and exciting new content and functionality beyond the original 1.x scope to it right now, they're also helping set the stage for whatever "RPG in a Box 2" turns out to be.
I hope to share more of my thoughts about this over the coming weeks. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported RPG in a Box in any way. ❤️
