This is a follow-up from Steam.
This is in regards to the red damage numbers appearing behind the camera in first-person.
These are my settings for reference:

I use grid-based movement and real-time combat to produce a gameplay style similar to Eye of the Beholder:

I have the red damage numbers turned on:

The red numbers are designed to appear directly above the player's head. This works with an isometric camera, but in first-person, it makes them appear behind the camera and out of view.
The player can't see exactly how much damage they've taken without looking at their health, which isn't a super big deal.
But being able to see the damage we deal to enemies is important, and this setting, as it is now, makes the final product look a little unpolished.
The simplest solution would be to allow users to turn off player and enemy damage numbers separately.
Ideally, though, it'd be amazing if players could see that red number.
