LUCK The ability to import images onto the 3D map in non-voxel format or make them as a character perhaps. I just want the PNG on there or as a wall maybe without it having to be 48 pixels or something. I want it because the entire editor is like easy peasy to use for text FPS games (walking simulators) and that'd open up my map making/character ideas and speed things up at times. Like I'd like to use a pic from my sketchbook as a 3D character and i dont care if it's like paper thin or they always face the character like in DOOM.
Justin LUCK Hi LUCK, welcome to the forum! 🙂 When creating a new character, if you select "Sprite-Based" from the dropdown (as shown below), it will let you assign PNG images. Hopefully that helps with what you're interested in doing!
LUCK Update: You can do this for walls in Blockbench presently and see it in-game by importing as an obj as an object with no use of the conversion tool metioned. You can see the textures perfectly fine when initially placing them in the map editor but turn all white if you tab away to something else after the initial placement and tab back to the map editor. They do not go away in-game despite this bug and export with the game fine.
