Hello! I stumbled upon RIAB a few weeks ago by some chance and I must say it's a lovely piece of software!
Even though I wasnt't planning on making an RPG, I've been toying around with it for quite some time now.
And first of all - congrats, Justin! Superb work! And hats off to Slayer, too. I've watched all your tutorial videos, brilliant!
Let me tell you where I got stuck, though. It's battles.
I couldn't find a way to play a battle with my own rules set. For example, what if I want to deal damage to an enemy that is my based on let's say my ATK + 1/2 of my CHARISMA + let's say a random factor by my LUCK, mitigated by enemy DEF, LUCK and toe size or anything. Seems to me it is not possible to do at mom.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong - I'd be happy to hear that 🙂)
Next: playing tactical turn-based battles were a disappointment, becasue I first thought, maybe enemy behaviours could apply to that as well, but turns out those probably only work in real time. So in TTB whoever the enemy is, it will just rush at you and try to bite your arm off. Which is fine for a Goblin, but If I wanted to set 3 Einsteins to guard their spawn area, they would just want to rush at me and bite my arm off 🙂
Just a few examples. Sorry if it was too long.
All in all, my question is, are there plans to improve on this side of the game?
Thanks!!
