open an existing game not working

i want to work on a project i started a few months ago but when i try to use the open an existing game option it wont let me open any files.
as in the open button just doesnt do anything. idk if it is a client thing or whatever but i would appreciate some help

_a_e are you sure you are selecting the game.cfg file within the project folder before you click "open"?
