The **Pause Menu** is an optional screen that, when enabled, will display whenever the player presses the ESC key during a game. It includes a "Resume" button to unpause the game, an "Options" button to open the [[Options Menu]], and either a "Quit" or "Quit to Title" button (according to whether or not the [[Main Menu]] is enabled for your game).

The Pause Menu is enabled by default. If desired, it can be disabled from the "User Interface" section of your [[Game Configuration]]. When disabled, pressing the ESC key will exit the game.
