======NPC====== ---- An **NPC**, or non-player character, is any [[character]] other than those that are controlled by the player, for example townsfolk, wildlife, or non-hostile creatures. [[Dialogue]] can be attached to an NPC (either from their [[Entity Properties]] panel in the [[Map Editor]] or the [[Set Dialogue]] scripting function) to allow a conversation to be initiated by the player. An NPC's movement behavior (for example, whether they will walk around freely or stay confined to a specific area) can be configured from the ""Behavior Settings" section of the [[Entity Properties]] panel.
